Carolyn Collins, MD - Medical Oncologist

Dr. Collins enjoyed a distinguished career in cancer research before entering clinical practice, where she enjoys making meaningful, empathetic connections with her patients. She loves being part of a team that collaborates and practices "intellectual honesty", where physicians openly seek each other's wisdom. She and her husband moved to Redding in 2002.

Michael Figueroa, MD - Medical Oncologist

Dr. Figueroa has lived in the North State since 1992 and his roots reach deep into the community. A devoted family man, he is appreciated by his colleagues, staff and patients for his gentle good-natured humor and his deeply spiritual approach to his vocation. His principles guide his work every day, with every patient.

Sharon Pereira, MD - Radiation Oncologist

Dr. Pereira is a respected physician and passionate community contributor who moved to the North State in 1993. She is a board member of Nor Cal Think Pink, a now-nationwide breast cancer awareness effort. Dr. Pereira is proud to have helped create a practice which answers only to the community it serves, and whose staff members are as passionate as she is about investing in the North State. She and her husband have three children.

Vicki J. Philben, MD, FACS - Surgical Oncologist

Dr. Philben is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. She has focused exclusively on the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer during her twelve-year tenure in Redding. Dr. Philben is married with two children, and enjoys the study of history and archeology in her spare time.

Paula Amacker, FNP

Paula was born and raised in the North State, and she has specialized in oncology nursing for the past 20 years. She enjoys spending time with her four children and her grandchildren. In her spare time, Paula enjoys gardening and working on her ranch with her husband. She is also very active in her church as a parish nurse and in her community.
